Colossians 3:15-17 says
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
And we’re doing that this Sunday! Come on out at 9 AM to practice with the choir for the next five weeks, so that we can sing with our hearts to the Lord on Easter Sunday. I often have people tell me that they can’t sing (apparently most of the church and population of the world is afflicted with this). But honestly, we just want people to come and do their best for the Lord. This isn’t American Idol - we aren’t doing this to get fame or glory - we’re doing this to honor God. So I hope to see you then! Prayer time on Sunday morning will be moved to 9:40, about the time we end choir practice. (more…)
