Luke 2:13-14 say
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
As the Christmas season approaches, there will seem to be a lot of things going on, and a sense of hurry in the air. Stress may become evident in our lives, whether it be from traveling or events, or time seeming to slip away. But we must take time to simply pause and praise God. At the very first Christmas, the angels came and sang a song of praise to what seemed like the least likely group of listeners on earth - not Carnegie Hall, but a group of lowly shepherds in the field. As we enter the holiday season, let’s make sure that we spend less time worrying and complaining about the stress; and more time praising God for His greatest gift of all - our Lord Jesus Christ.
